Google Trends- Dr. Ron Paul winning the race

I've updated this article to show an interesting truth (since Mr. Obama is no longer the front running Democrat, like the "polls" all told us):

Hillary Clinton vs. Ron Paul- Google Trend's Graph:

Ron Paul is getting far more searches on Google then Hillary Clinton.
It is of course not saying who is voting for whom, but does say a lot of what people are looking into.

Ron Paul vs. Mike Huckabee

Google has a beta technology and service it calls Google Trends. Seeing that 75% of all searches made are via Google.com, this allows one to get a snapshot, as Google says, "of what's on the public's collective mind." Furthermore, you can compare popular searches. Enter Ron Paul vs. Mike Huckabee.

I was surprised that Ron Paul _only_ got 10% of the Iowa vote a couple days ago. Then again, this was a caucus and thus I did a Google Trends comparison between Ron Paul and the other main candidates, both Republican and Democratic- to help hopefully set my mind at ease.

And at ease it became. Basically, as far as what people are reading and searching for on the internet, places Ron Paul WAY out front! (Notice however how the number of news item mentions for Ron Paul are way out of whack compared to the numbers searching for "Ron Paul." Interesting how public opinion on the net is SO different from the old-school, main stream media. Now, why could that be?) Anyway, back to the facts.

Just to show how accurate this trend tool can be, look how close the trend lines are and thus the race, between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama:

Ron Paul is one of the leaders, if not the leader for President. His online presence and internet campaign appears to be an excellent choice, not to mention he is the only candidate offering real, substantial, needed changes. Nielsen/NetRatings (http://www.nielsen-netratings.com/) says that as of July 2007, 70.2% of the US population was online. You do the math, map out the Google Trend charts and look forward to the "Live Free or Die" state's primary- New Hampshire!
